What do the sizes refer to?

The sizes listed refer to the inside display area of the memory box. Refer to “Product Specifications” to view all dimensions relative to each size and style of memory box.

What is security hardware?

Security hardware is attached to the memory boxes for securing to the wall, preventing unauthorized removal. Each box has 3 attachment points – 2 locking tabs at the top and one 1 T bolt at the bottom. A wrench is used to engage the T bolt, turning it a 1/4 turn to lock the unit to the wall. 1 wrench, 3 drywall anchors, 1 drilling template and instructions are supplied with each order.

What are the memory boxes made from?

For our stained finishes, the doors and fascia panel are all made from alder or oak hardwood depending on desired finish. The box portion is made from alder or oak veneer over a wood substrate, with exposed edges dressed off with alder or oak edge banding.

Do you offer custom colors?

We do offer custom color matching to your specifications on confirmed orders with deposit received. We have had excellent results in meeting customer expectations. A manufacturers color code or swatch is required for the matching process. Paint or stain will be tinted to match as closely as possible taking into account wood or surface variations.

What does ADA compliant signage mean?

The 2010 Americans With Disabilities Act for Accessible Design includes specific language addressing the requirements for signage in public areas. Issues covered include size, placement, and layout. On two of our memory box designs, we have included a placeholder for the attachment of ADA compliant signage. It should be noted however that the memory box must be attached to the wall within certain parameters to ensure compliance. For your convenience, we have provided links to the Department of Justice website and two vendors who offer simplified guidelines for compliance.

How long does it take to process an order?

Time required for order processing is determined by pending order backlog. Our quotations normally request 4-6 weeks for production time to allow for pending fluctuations. We have been able to process rush orders within 2 weeks. Please allow additional time for curing if a painted finish is requested, and transit time of 2-5 business days.

What shipping methods do you use?

All of our products are shipped pre-paid via FedEx Freight or Ground Service. Which service is used is determined by order quantity, size, and location. When shipping via FedEx Freight, please be aware that additional fees apply if the delivery address is not in a commercial district, and / or does not have a forklift / loading dock on site. Customer is responsible for any additional fees such as inside delivery, call for appointment, and limited access.

What are your terms?

Because of the multiple color and feature options available, a 50% deposit and signed purchase order is required for order confirmation. Time required for production will be quoted when the order is confirmed. The invoice balance, including freight charges, is due at the time of shipping. We accept checks and all major credit cards.
